Thumos (θῡμός · thūmós · noun ) "vital force, spirit, life"

Thumos (signs: θῡμός · transliteration: thūmós) is a word in the Ancient Greek language related to psycholinguistics. It is usually translated as "(noun) vital force, spirit, life." The Ancient Greek language belongs to the language family known as Indo-European.

Thumos may be derived from *dʰuh₂mós, which is a reconstructed word from the proto-language called Proto-Indo-European.
